About Us

Music Maker Productions is a non-profit, student-run organization at Mississippi State University. Our primary goal is to bring quality entertainment to Mississippi State University and the City of Starkville. Music Maker Productions is comprised of a close group of fifteen to twenty Mississippi State students, a graduate assistant, and two advisors. Four students are selected by the members to serve on the Executive Board as Student Director, Artist Relations Chair, Publicity Chair, and Ticketing Chair.

Established over fifty years ago, Music Maker Productions has garnered respect as a professional entity in the music business. Through shows such as Sugarland, Grace Potter and The Nocturnals, Bob Dylan, Jack White, Rae Sremmurd, and many others, Music Maker Productions has successfully brought acts crossing genres and generations to Mississippi State University's campus and community.

Music Maker Productions’ selection process takes place in the early fall each school year.  This process consists of an application followed by a group interview for all interested with all members of the organization present. Following the group interview, a number of applicants are selected for a second, individual interview with the Executive Board and an advisor. After this last round of interviews, the new members are selected and notified via letter. Music Maker Productions accepts applications from all majors and classifications.

You can check this website, follow us on Twitter (@Music_Maker), and like us on Facebook (Music Maker Productions) for all information regarding events and the selection process. Tickets can be purchased on our website, over the phone, or in Suite 314 of The Colvard Student Union.  We look forward to seeing you at our future shows!

Our Members

Madison Horton

Student Director

My name is Madison Horton and I am currently serving as the Student Director for Music Maker Productions. I love live music and pretty much anything that is associated with live music. The best part of Music Makers is belonging to a group of people that are dedicated to bringing concerts to Starkville, MS. The work is not always easy, but it is the most rewarding thing I have ever taken part in. My favorite Kanye album is My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and my favorite song today is Car by Porches.

Anna Wright

Hey! Im Anna Wright and I am a sophomore Biological Engineering major with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering. My love for live music brought me to apply for Music Maker Productions and I now stand as the Artist Relations chair. As well as my love for music, I love cats and Harry Potter!

Annie Sheffield

I am a junior psychology major at Mississippi State University. I am excited to try and grow the Starkville music scene.

Daniel Smith

Tommie Jo Barnett

Publicity Chair

I am a sophomore and currently working towards a major in graphic design. Music Makers is my absolute favorite thing about State. My greatest fear is grasshoppers and the love I have for my dog extends galaxies.

Murry Falkner

My name is Murry, I'm sophomore biological sciences major from West Point, MS. The first concert I ever saw was Pit bull and I've been a die hard fan ever since. I am an EDM god.

Allie Nichols

Artist Relations Chair

I'm a sophomore English major from Gulfport, MS. Music Makers gives me a way to connect with my fellow students and the Starkville community through something I'm really passionate about, and for that I am so thankful. It's takes a lot of hard work, but the reward of seeing the student body come together over this incredible show you and your best friends made happen is a feeling like no other.

Katie Erickson

Howdy. My name is KT. I’m a junior Graphic Design and Photography major from Madison, MS, but I’m a Yazoo City delta girl at heart. Music has a constant influence in my life, and I would like to admit that my extremely eclectic love for music genres defines my personality above anything else. While I am not musically talented, my passion and love for the musical world drive my desire to be surrounded amongst the life and community that music brings. I hope to someday combine my love for photography and music as a concert photographer. “It’s not what you take when you leave this world behind you. Its what you leave behind you when you’re gone.” - Randy Travis

Gerard Henderson

Ticketing Chair

My name is Gerard, but sometimes I get called Gerald. I'm a political science major from Augusta, Georgia with the plans of attending law school, "Injustice anywhere, is a threat to justice everywhere." BLM. I joined Music Makers in 2016. Gospel Music is my favorite but I also listen to RnB, Indie, and HipHop. Kelly Rowland waved to me once and that was the best day of my life.

Caden Trelles

I am Caden Trelles and I’m a sophomore geosciences major from Cullman, Alabama. When I was younger I got in trouble for kicking a trashcan and hopping fences. Then I went to a Bassnectar concert and grew my hair out. Now I like to sing things, shake hands, and recommend music to my siblings that I know they won’t like.

Suede Graham

Graduate Assistant

Suede serves as the Graduate Assistant for the Center for Student Activities and helps advise Music Maker Productions. Originally from Arkansas, Suede graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music in May 2016, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs at Mississippi State University. Some of Suede’s favorite music artists are Fleetwood Mac, James Bay, Michael Jackson, and Beyoncé. Suede hopes to work in student activities or orientation after graduating with his Masters.

Jackie Mullen

Director of Student Activities

I serve as the Director of Student Activities and the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life at Mississippi State University. When I am not chasing college kids around, I am chasing my son, Carson Mullen, around. My favorite artists to listen to are the Dixie Chicks, Usher, and anything that MMP loves!!!
