About us

Music Maker Productions is a non-profit, student-run organization at Mississippi State University. Our primary goal is to bring people together by providing quality entertainment to Mississippi State University and the City of Starkville. Music Maker Productions is comprised of a close group of twenty Mississippi State students, a graduate assistant, and two advisors. Serving in 2023-2024 on the MMP Executive Board is Student Director Sally Stafford, Publicity Chair Carter (Andrew) McIlwain, Artist Relations Luke Singletary, and Operations Chair Sneha Cherukuri.

Established over fifty years ago, Music Maker Productions has garnered respect as a professional entity in the music business. Through shows such as Eli Young Band, GroupLove, Key Glock, Bob Dylan, Jack White, Rae Sremmurd, Alabama Shakes, A$AP Ferg, and many others, Music Maker Productions has successfully brought acts crossing genres and generations to Mississippi State University's campus and community.

Music Maker Productions’ selection process takes place in the early fall of each school year.  This process consists of an application followed by a group interview for all interested with all members of the organization present. Following the group interview, a number of applicants are selected for a second, individual interview with the Executive Board and an advisor. After this last round of interviews, the new members are selected and notified via letter. Music Maker Productions accepts applications from all majors and classifications.
