Expression

Expression; what is it and how do we show it. By definition it is “the process of making known one’s thoughts or feelings.” But how do we show our feelings in today’s society? The answer is simple, music. Music today is one of the main ways that people get to convey and demonstrate the emotions they are sensing. Think about it, what do you listen to in your car, music, what do you listen to walking around campus, music, and what do you do when you’re bored, listen to music. It’s part of our culture not just in the United States but all over the world. It is a part of a bigger picture, and allows for people to be themselves. So today I want to express how I feel about music, and the way I will be doing that is through poems (because trust me you don’t want me to sing). The amazing thing is that music and poems have been intertwined for thousands of years, and now I get to share with you the amazing sensation that I get from music.

Oh, The Joy

Joy it brings to me

A feeling of sensation

Never Disappointed

Ode to music, my friend

The impact you have on many, shows how amazing

you are. You touch so many lives, mostly including mine.

You always can pick me up on a bad day, and keep me

happy on the others! How you are always there

for me, lets me know hthe loyalty you have!

O music, O music, you are one of my best friends, you always give

me just what I need.

Feelings

Music, music can be so loud

But how it makes me oh so proud

It can sometimes make me really sad

But that’s ok because honestly that is rally rad

Sometimes its just like sitting on a cloud

Loyalty

When have you ever left my side, never I

Can seem to remember. Though I may not need you all the time

You never have left my side. Its like having someone who is right beside you

Just waiting and waiting until something is needed. For some reason you always have

Just the right words to say, knowing what I need to hear. Your loyalty is strong fierce and lasting, and

Thank you for the allegiance you have given me.

Freedom

At last I am finally free

That’s ironic how now I can see

Before I was lost in a worldly trance

So, I thank you for giving me a chance
